Menstrual Issues

Monthly periods should not be painful or too heavy. A healthy cycle will not produce symptoms of PMS, such as irritability, moodiness, sadness, depression or pain.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has a long history of treating menstrual issues. These include issues such as amenorrhea (no periods), painful periods, heavy periods, and spotting outside of a monthly rhythm. Endometriosis, fibroids, prolapses, infections and PCOS are other areas that respond to treatment.

I love seeing mothers bring their daughters in for treatment. Treating PMS and other period symptoms when they first start to manifest will reduce the risk of more complicated pathologies later. Also, young women learn to appreciate their bodies’ normal rhythm, and to feel empowered to care for themselves naturally and wisely.

Also! When working with infertility, addressing the health of the menstrual cycle is a number one priority.
